          Preview an Evidence Artifact

          Preview an Evidence Artifact

Open the built-in evidence artifact previewer to review the files attached to a Compliance Evidence Artifact directly inside the artifact record. Reviewing in the previewer means you don't have to download a copy of the file to verify the evidence.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with Agentforce IT Service.
          User Permissions Needed
To preview evidence artifacts: Compliance Admin permission set

The artifact previewer renders common evidence formats inline, including PDFs, images, and video files, so reviewers can verify the evidence without having to download it. Keeping the review in-app reduces the risk of files being saved outside the system of record and helps preserve a clean chain of custody.

          1. From the Evidence Hub app, open the evidence artifact you want to review.
          2. Go to the Files tab on the artifact record.
          3. Open the file you want to preview.
The Evidence Artifact Preview dialog opens, showing the file's name, type, and size in the header and rendering the file inline.
          4. Use the previewer controls to navigate the file.
The available controls depend on the file type. Multi-page documents support page navigation and zoom. Image files support zoom. Video files support standard playback controls.
          5. When you're done reviewing, close the previewer.
Example: previewing a Workday termination log
Example: previewing a Workday termination log

Suppose Rachel is reviewing the artifacts attached to the End-to-End Offboarding SLA Report (Access Revocation) evidence request. She opens the HRIS (Workday) Employee Termination Log (Last 30 Days) artifact, goes to the Files tab, and opens the attached PDF. The previewer renders the report inline so Rachel can confirm that the termination dates and timestamps line up with the offboarding SLA, all without downloading the file to her computer.
