            Request Virtual Machine Upgrade

            Deploy this template to provide employees with a standardized way to request an upgrade to a virtual machine size.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with Agentforce IT Service.

            This template creates a service request record that captures essential user details for accurate and auditable fulfillment. Review what’s included with the template.

            Intake Attributes

            The intake form for this template captures these details from the employee:

            • Resource Group Name: The name of the resource group associated with the virtual machine.
            • Virtual Machine Name: The name of the virtual machine for the upgrade request.
            • Target VM Size: The desired compute size for the virtual machine upgrade.

            Automated Fulfillment

            This service process includes a fulfillment flow that automatically processes the service request. You can extend this flow in Flow Builder to include custom logic, such as automated manager approvals or inventory checks.

            Note
            Note After manager approval, the flow upgrades the virtual machine size.

            Integration

            This template uses a preconfigured integration with Azure connector in the fulfillment flow. To use this integration, configure your connector credentials. To learn more about this third-party connector, see Azure Connector.
