When you turn on Agentic Enterprise Search, the following automated actions are also performed behind the scenes in Data 360:
- Users from your home org are ingested, if they aren't already ingested.
- An Enterprise User DLO is created.
- A data transform converts data from the User DLO to Enterprise User DLO.
- The Enterprise User DLO is mapped to the Enterprise User DMO.
- An Identity Resolution ruleset is created for user mapping.
- A Data Action and Data Action Target are created to send users from the Enterprise User DMO to the Global Directory Of Users (GDOU). This allows user identities to be mapped across Salesforce CRM, Slack, and third party sources such as Google Drive.
Manage User Access
Agentic Enterprise Search requires careful permissioning to ensure the right users have access to search capabilities and the underlying data. Access is managed primarily through a permission set license and a permission set group, which bundles the necessary permissions for a standard setup.
To grant basic access to Agentic Enterprise Search and its associated features, users must be assigned the following:
- AI Search: This permission set license enables the core functionality of Agentic Enterprise Search for the user.
- AccessAISearch: This permission set group is provided out-of-the-box and
contains three essential Permission Sets:
- A permission set to enable general use of Agentic Enterprise Search.
- A permission set to allow users to interact with the two default agents.
- A permission set to grant access to the default data space in Data 360, allowing the user to retrieve indexed data.
You can assign users the permission set license and permission set group and provide them with access to use Agentic Enterprise Search directly from the setup page.
- From the Agentic Enterprise Search Setup, navigate to Manage Agentic Enterprise Search Users section.
- Next to Manage Access to Agentic Enterprise Search, select Manage.
- Select users who should have access and click Assign. You can use the list view to see a selection of users.
- Click Done.
Under Monitor Licenses, at the top of the setup page you can view your licenses available and how many users are assigned.
