Eftersom SSE-anslutningar förblir öppna tills vidare flaggar säkerhetsverktyg som utformats för stopp-och-start-webbtrafik dem ofta. Vanliga felpunkter inkluderar:
SSL- och TLS-inspektion: Säkerhetsmotorer buffrar ibland strömmen för att söka efter virus. Eftersom strömmen aldrig slutar hålls data tills vidare och når aldrig användaren.
