Batch Data Transform

After configuring the CXI Analytics app, ensure that the required batch data transforms are completed and executed in the correct sequence.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available for an additional cost in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions where Customer Experience Intelligence is enabled

To ensure accurate data processing, these Batch Data Transforms (BDTs) are installed as part of the CXI app installation

  • CXI Analytics Data Transform: Available in the setup.
  • CXI Product Insights BDT: Available when Product Insights is enabled in the setup.
Note
Note BDT 2 (CXI Product Insights BDT) must only run after BDT 1 (CXI Analytics Data Transform) is completed.

Manual Refresh Instructions

When manually triggering the BDTs:

  • Trigger BDT 1 (CXI Analytics Data Transform) first.
  • After completing BDT 1, proceed with triggering BDT 2 (CXI Product Insights BDT).

Scheduling BDTs

To ensure that the most up-to-date data is available by a particular time or to run a job during non-business hours, schedule a batch data transform. When scheduling the BDTs:

  • Ensure BDT 2 is scheduled to run at least one hour after BDT 1.
  • Adjust the timing to 30 minutes or up to 2 hours based on the data volume and expected duration for BDT 1 to complete.
