Configure Additional Basic Settings

Turn on optional Workforce Scheduling features, including approval-based absence blocking and geolocation data sharing with Google and Apple.

To configure basic settings:	Workforce Scheduling Admin

From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Workforce Scheduling, and then select Basic Settings.
Optionally, enable these features.
- Block Scheduling Only for Approved Absences: When approval confirmation is on, only approved absences block a service resource's availability. Unapproved absences aren't considered in scheduling. This setting needs an approval process on the Resource Absence object that sets the Approved field. Without one, no absence is ever approved, and no absence blocks scheduling. For more information, see Set Up an Approval Process.
- Send Geolocation and Map Data to Google and Apple: Allow Workforce Scheduling to send location and map data to Google and Apple so that maps and routes appear.
