Excluded Resources is a Workforce Scheduling work rule type that prevents service
resources, listed as an Excluded service resource preference on a work order or work order line
item, from being assigned to the corresponding appointment when the scheduling policy in use
includes this work rule. Excluded Resources work rules are applicable to field and on-site
scheduling.

Sometimes, customers have a poor experience with a service resource and request not to work
with them in the future. Use this work rule type to enforce customer resource preferences, such
as those resulting from a complaint. Other work rules can exclude service resources based on
skills, availability, and proximity.
Create work rules from Setup. Find and go to Workforce Scheduling, and
under Appointment
Scheduling Logic, select Work Rules. To view or add work rule
fields open the Object Manager in
Setup and select the Work Rule custom object. To add work rules to a
scheduling policy, see
Create and Manage Scheduling Policies in Workforce
Scheduling.
