Gift Commitments in Nonprofit

Use the Fundraising app to manage all types of gift commitments, both monetary and in kind. You can track gifts for particular opportunities and campaigns, change transaction schedules, and update donation amounts. Automated tasks simplify handling recurring donations. You can also easily monitor upcoming, missed, failed, and recently paid and refunded transactions.

  • Add a Gift Commitment in Nonprofit
    Create a record for a one-time pledge, a multipayment gift, or an open-ended recurring gift, including the schedule, amount, and gift designations of the donor’s choice. If someone influenced the donor to give, you can log gift soft credits directly on the commitment page. You can connect the gift to a campaign or opportunity and allocate the gift for a particular designation.

    Allocate or reallocate gift amounts associated with a gift commitment to gift designations of the donor's choice.

    Schedule a recurring or custom payment of a gift commitment from a donor. The scheduling options change based on the schedule type that you select when you create the gift commitment.

    An in-kind gift is a donation of goods or services, rather than a cash donation, to a nonprofit organization. To enter in-kind gifts into Salesforce, enter them as gift commitments.
