Create and Customize List Views for Admissions Connect

Help your staff stay focused by setting up list views that best support your institution’s application review process.

          • Default List Views
List views are all about staying focused. List views let people view and access records. Admissions Connect provides some default list views to help you get started. These list views are managed, which means any field updates you make to them are overwritten by push updates.
          • Create or Customize a List View
Create custom list views for your admissions team or for yourself based on your institution's application review process. For example, create a list view just for undergraduate applications for the fall semester applying to the B.S. in Computer Science program.
          • Add or Remove an Admissions Connect Mass Action
Mass actions show as a button on a list view. These buttons allow you to select multiple records and perform an action on all selected items. Mass actions added to the List View layout show in all list views for an object.

Create or Customize a List View

Create custom list views for your admissions team or for yourself based on your institution's application review process. For example, create a list view just for undergraduate applications for the fall semester applying to the B.S. in Computer Science program.

          1. From the Admissions Connect app, click the navigation menu and select an item such as Applications or Application Reviews.

          2. In the list view, click Gear icon to open the List View Controls menu.

            Tip
Tip If a list view doesn't display, you likely have split view open. Change your display settings back to a table.

Split view settings with the Display As options expanded to show the Table option selected

          3. Click New and follow the prompts to create the new view.

          4. Customize the list's filters.

          5. To customize the fields, click Gear icon again, and then click Select Fields to Display.

          6. Add the fields, then save your changes.

Add or Remove an Admissions Connect Mass Action

Mass actions show as a button on a list view. These buttons allow you to select multiple records and perform an action on all selected items. Mass actions added to the List View layout show in all list views for an object.

Admissions Connect provides an Assign Reviewers mass action that lets you add reviewers to Applications, if you're a new customer. If you're an existing customer, configure an Assign Reviewers mass action button through a Visualforce Page first. Then, add this button to the Application object so that it's available to your admissions staff, or remove it.

Configure an Assign Reviewers Mass Action Button

          1. From Setup, in Object Manager, click Applications.

          2. Click Buttons, Links, and Actions, and then click New Button or Link.

          3. Enter a Label, for example, Assign Reviewers, and then press Tab to populate the Name field.

          4. From Display Type, select List Button.

          5. From Behavior, select Display in existing window with sidebar.

          6. From Content Source, select Visualforce Page.

          7. From Content, select BulkReviewerManagement [BulkReviewerManagement].

          8. Save your changes.

You can now add the button to the Application object as outlined in the next procedure.

Add an Assign Reviewers Mass Actions Button
