Build additional checkpoints and flexibility into the dynamic admissions application process. Give applicants the options to edit, view, confirm, sign, submit, and cancel their applications. Applicants also have the option to withdraw an application after submission.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Education Cloud license
User Permissions Needed
To update the Experience Cloud site and edit objects: Education Cloud Full Access
  1. In Experience Builder, go to the Pages menu, and under Preliminary Application Reference, select the Application Detail page.
  2. To open the design attributes panel, click the Application Details component.
  3. To give applicants the ability to edit and view their application materials, select Let users view and edit tasks.
Applicants can edit the data within each application task until they’re ready to submit the full application. After submission, an applicant can view the details of each of their application tasks, but they can’t edit them.

The status of the application updates automatically after submission.
  5. To require applicants to provide a digital signature for each application, select Require applicant signature for submission.
  6. To require applicants to confirm that their provided information is accurate and complete before submission, enter up to five confirmation statements.
Applicants must check all confirmation statements before they can submit. You must enter at least one statement to show the confirmation checkboxes to the applicant. Each confirmation statement supports a maximum of 2000 characters.
  7. If necessary, enter a post-submission page URL.
This URL specifies a redirect page after the applicant submits their application, instead of the default post-submission window.
  8. To give applicants the option to cancel unsubmitted applications, select Allow applicants to cancel applications before submission.
  9. To give applicants the option to withdraw a submitted application, select Allow applicants to withdraw application.
  10. If you give applicants the option to withdraw or cancel applications, turn on the option to show or hide withdrawn and canceled applications on the application list.
    1. In Experience Builder, go to the Pages menu, and under Preliminary Application Reference, select the Application List page.
    2. To open the design attributes panel, click the Application List component.
    3. Select Show withdrawn and canceled application options.
  11. Publish the site.
  12. If necessary, add the Withdrawn status to the Application Status picklist on the Individual Application object.
    1. From Setup, click Object Manager, and then select Individual Application.
    2. Click Fields & Relationships, and then click Application Status.
    3. In Application Status Picklist Values, click New.
    4. In Add Picklist Values, enter Withdrawn.
    5. For Record Type Name, select the name that you use for applications.
    6. Save your changes.
Note
Note The Application Details Lightning web component supports Edit and View in stages that use Omnistudio components. These stages support Edit and View: Profile, Test Results, Secondary or High School Education, College or University Education, and Files. Use these Omnistudio components as templates to create any additional Omnistudio components that are required for your application.
