Create a Delegate Access Data Set

Map the objects that students share with proxies, and define how they resolve to the student. Create separate datasets if proxies require access to different categories of information, such as billing statements or course schedules.

User Permissions Needed
To create a delegate access data set:

Education Cloud Full Access permission set

AND

View Setup and Configuration permission set

AND

Manage Delegated Access and Related Objects permission set

To create a delegate access data set:

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Education Cloud, and then select Delegated Access Management.
  2. Under Delegate Access Data Sets, click New.
  3. Enter the data set name and description. For example, enter Student academic data as the name and Data for student academic performance as the description.
  4. Select Active.
    You can’t modify an active data set.
  5. Under Data Set Object Details, click Add Destination Object.
  6. Select a destination object. For example, Academic Term Enrollment.
  7. Select the destination path to the student's contact, account, or user.
  8. Select the field type and access level. For example, select Contact as the destination field type and Read as the access level.
  9. Save your changes.
