Create a Delegate Access Definition

Combine a delegated access dataset and a permission set into an access option. Students see these definitions on the portal when delegating access to proxies.

User Permissions Needed
To create a delegate access definition:

Education Cloud Full Access permission set

AND

View Setup and Configuration permission set

To create delegate access definition:

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Education Cloud, and then select Delegated Access Management.
  2. Under Delegate Access Definitions, click New.
  3. Enter the definition name and description. For example, enter Student academic data as the name and Grants proxy access to student academic and enrollment data as the description.
  4. Select a delegate access data set data bundle and its related permission set. For example, select Student academic data as the delegate access data set and Education Cloud for Experience Cloud Access as the permission set.
  5. Select Active and Show On Portal.
    You can’t modify an active delegate access definition.
  6. Save your changes.
  7. If you no longer need the definition, from the definition’s actions menu, select Archive.
