Delegated Access Statuses
Delegated access request statuses show where a request is in the access lifecycle and whether an action is required. Use the statuses to track proxy registration, scheduled access, granting, revocation, expiration, retries, and terminal failures.

| Status | Condition |
|---|---|
| Pending | No proxy user exists in the org, and a sign-up email was sent to the proxy. |
| New | The delegated access request exists, but access granting hasn’t started. |
| Scheduled | The delegated access request has a future access start date. |
| Grant In Progress | Access is being granted to the proxy. |
| Granted | The proxy has access to the student’s records. |
| Needs Review | The proxy’s email address matches multiple contacts, or the matching contact is linked to multiple active users. The request requires review before processing can continue. |
| Revoke Requested | An admin or student requested revocation of the proxy’s access. |
| Revoke In Progress | The proxy’s access is being removed in response to a revocation request. |
| Revoked | The proxy’s access was removed in response to a revocation request. |
| Expiry In Progress | The proxy’s access is being removed because the access end date passed. |
| Expired | The proxy’s access was removed because the access end date passed. |
| Pending Retry | A temporary error interrupted processing, and the request was queued for another attempt. |
| Failed | The request reached the retry limit and isn’t processed again automatically. |
| Grant Failed | Access couldn’t be granted. The request is retried during the next scheduled batch job. |
| Revoke Failed | Access couldn’t be revoked. The request is retried during the next scheduled batch job. |
| Expiry Failed | Expired access couldn’t be removed. The request is retried during the next scheduled batch job. |
