          Example: First-Generation Student Exploring Career Planning and Life Goals

          This example walks you through how to set up a career planning and life goals experience on a student portal. First, the administrator configures an org for learners to define and achieve career and life goals based on their profile, preferences, and assessment insights. They configure the advisor's profile permissions to manage student’s career and life goals. The Student advisors create the foundational assessments, involvement groups, and competencies. Then, students log in to take assessments, explore campus groups, and set their first life goals.

          Sophia is a first-generation student at Connected University. Sophia wants to become a successful entrepreneur, but isn’t sure which competencies to build, which clubs to join, or how to turn that dream into a real plan.

          John, the Connected University admin, sets up the org for career planning and life goals, adds and configures the career planning and life goals components to the learner portal, and gives advisors the tools to manage student progress.

          Charlie, the Connected University advisor, sets up the career planning and life goals infrastructure; assessments, involvement groups, and competencies students can earn.

          Sophia logs in to the student portal to take an assessment, explore campus involvement groups, add competencies to earn, and sets the first life goal.

            John, the Connected University admin, sets up the org for career planning and life goals, adds and configures the career planning and life goals components to the learner portal, and gives advisors the tools to manage student progress.

            To provide the career planning and life goals experience for students on the portal, Charlie, the Connected University advisor, creates assessments, involvement groups, and competencies. These records serve as the foundation for what students see and interact with.
          • Manage Career Planning and Life Goals Experience on the Portal
            After Charlie saves the configuration, the career planning and life goals experience for students appear on the portal. Sophia logs in to Connected University's student portal and goes to the Career Planning and Life Goals page to manage her goals and plans.
