Financial Aid Components
Learn how the financial aid components display data and calculate totals for students, prospects, and staff.
Component Overview
Add financial aid components to an Experience Cloud portal for students and prospects, or to the Person Account record page for staff. The same components are available in both contexts.

| Financial Aid Highlights | Shows a header that contains key financial aid fields. You can customize the background and text colors, and choose to show or hide metrics like net cost, total offered aid, total accepted aid, disbursed aid, the number of applications received, and progress status. |
| Financial Aid Overview | Shows the total cost of attendance, total aid, and cost breakdown for a student. |
| Financial Aid Awards | Shows information about awards that are part of a financial aid package, organized in Grants and Loans tabs. |
| Financial Aid Checklist | Shows a list of the tasks that a learner must complete to receive financial aid, including status badges and instructions. |
| Financial Aid Applications | Shows a student's financial aid applications and their verification statuses. |
| Financial Aid Disbursements | Shows information about paid and scheduled disbursements that are part of a financial aid package. |
| Financial Aid Notifications | Shows notifications about items affecting the financial aid package. |
Display Logic
The financial aid components expect specific field values to display information correctly. If your source system uses different values, remap them before mapping to the DMO.
Note All Award Year and Academic Year fields must use the same value to represent the academic
year. Use the format ####-####, for example 2024-2025.

Calculation Logic
The financial aid components calculate totals and summary values using the following formulas.
