Add the Create Donor Brief Button to Page Layouts in Education

To quickly generate donor briefs, you can add the Create Donor Brief button to page layouts as either a Platform Action or as an Action Launcher button.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience

Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Education Cloud
User Permissions Needed  
To add the Create Donor Brief button to page layouts:

Modified Education Cloud Full Access permission set

You can add the Create Donor Brief button to the Account record page by either adding it as a platform action or as an option in the Action Launcher. Adding the button as a platform action might cause information to be duplicated with information in the Summary Card.

  1. Add the option as a platform action.
    1. Edit an Account record page.
    2. In the Lightning App Builder, add the Highlights Panel to the top of the page.
    3. Save your work.
  2. Add the option as an Action Launcher button.
    1. Add the donor brief flow as a Deployment for the Action Launcher Component.
    2. Edit an Account record page.
    3. In the Lightning App Builder, add the Action Launcher to the page.
    4. In the Action Launcher pane, set the configuration to Action Launcher deployment.
    5. From the Action Launcher deployment field, select the donor brief deployment.
    6. Save your work, and then activate the page, if necessary.
