Philanthropic research is the foundation of strategic donor engagement. It empowers advancement professionals to understand the motivations, values, capacity, and networks of individuals, households, and organizations.

The Philanthropic Research Lightning app optimizes philanthropic research by enabling you to manage cases, identify raw indicators, review wealth assessments, and examine the overall profiles of donors at a glance. Additionally, create contacts, opportunities, and cases to fuel insights. The app includes these sections.

Cases

Create and manage philanthropic research cases. For example, assign a case to a new owner or add it to a watchlist.

Accounts

Create and manage institutional and person accounts. For example, import accounts and discover new companies using a Lightning Data package. Schedule appointments or create new contacts from an account.

Note
Note Person accounts were not built to work with Nonprofit Success Pack and therefore, are not supported for use with NPSP. If Person Accounts are not already enabled in your org, don't enable them. Once you turn on Person Accounts in your organization, you can't turn the feature off. See NPSP and Person Accounts in NPSP FAQ.
