Set Up Your Learner Portal with Career Planning and Life Goals Components
Use Experience Builder to add the career planning and life goals components to your learner portal, and then configure them.

| To set up your learner portal with career planning and life goals components: | Education Cloud Full Access permission set AND Create and Set Up Experiences AND View Setup and Configuration AND Omnistudio Admin permission set AND Omnistudio Admin User permission set |
Note To create an Experience Cloud site, first enable Digital Experiences for your org and
register the domain. See Enable Digital Experiences. Also make sure that you're a
member of the site, either as a Salesforce admin, or an experience admin, publisher, or
builder.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter All Sites, and then select All Sites under Digital Experiences.

Do one of these actions:
- To create an Experience Cloud site, see Create an Education Portal.
- To use an existing Experience Cloud site, click Workspaces for the site.
- Under My Workspaces, click Builder.
- Remove components that aren’t necessary.

Add and configure an involvement groups page.
- Click the Page Properties icon on top, and select + New Page.
- Select Standard Page, choose a preferred layout for the page, and then click Next.

Enter
Involvement Groupsas the name, enter a URL, and click Create. - On the Involvement Groups page, click the page properties.
- Copy and save the API name, which you need when configuring the Involvement Groups and Competencies component.

Create an involvement group record page.
- Click the Page Properties icon on top, and select + New Page.
- Select Object Pages.
- Select Involvement Group and click Create.
- Click the Page Properties icon on top, and select the Involvement Group Detail page.

Click Components on the top left, find and select the
Involvement Group Competencies component and drag it to the
Involvement Group Detail page.
The Involvement Group record page is displayed when you open an involvement group from the Involvement Groups page you created in step 5.

Add and configure a view assessment page.
- Do one of these actions:
- To create a view assessment page, click the Page Properties icon on top, and select + New Page.
- Select Standard Page, choose a preferred layout for the page, and then click Next.
- Enter View Assessment as the name, enter a URL, and click Create.
- To use an existing Assessment View page, open the page from Page Properties.
- Click Components on the top left, find and select the Omniscript for Experience Cloud component and drag it to the page.
- On the View Assessment page, click the page properties.
- Copy and save the API name, which you need when configuring the View Assessment page.

Add and configure a completed assessment view page.
- Click the Page Properties icon on top, and select + New Page.
- Select Standard Page, choose a preferred layout for the page, and then click Next.
- Enter Completed Assessment as the name, enter a URL, and click Create.
- On the Completed Assessment page, click the page properties.
- Copy and save the API name, which you need when configuring the Completed Assessment page.
- Click Components on the top left, find and select the Completed Assessment component and drag it to the page.

Add and configure a career planning and life goals hub for students page.
- Click the Page Properties icon on top, and select + New Page.
- Select Standard Page, choose a preferred layout for the page, and then click Next.
- Enter Career Planning and Life Goals as the name, enter a URL, and click Create.
- Click Components on the top left, find and select the Tab Layout component and drag it to the page. Use the properties pane to add the custom tabs: Involvement Groups and Competencies, Goals, and Assessments.
Note We recommend these custom tabs, but you can change the names to suit your organization's needs. -
Configure the Involvement Groups and Competencies tab.
- Click Components on the top left, find and select the Student Competencies component and drag it to the Involvement Groups and Competencies tab.
- In the Student Competencies component properties, click Select to add Interested, or Acquired, or both in Tabs to Show.
- Click Components on the top left, find and select the Student Involvement Groups component and drag it to the Involvement Groups and Competencies tab.
- In the Student Involvement Groups component properties, add the involvement group page API name you created in step 5 in Involvement Groups Page API Name.

Configure the Goals tab.
- Click Components on the top left, find and select the Student Goals component and drag it to the Goals tab.

Configure the Assessments tab.
- Click Components on the top left, find and select the Assessment Library component and drag it to the Assessments tab.
- In the Assessment Library component properties, add the view assessment page API name in API name for Take Assessment Page.
- Click Components on the top left, find and select the Student Assessments component and drag it to the Assessments tab.
- In the Student Assessments component properties, add the view assessment page API name you created in step 7 in API name for View Assessment Page.
- Add the completed assessment page API name you created in step 8 in API name for View Completed Assessment Page.

Add and configure a goal assignment record page.
- Click the Page Properties icon on top, and select + New Page.
- Select Object Pages.
- Select Goal Assignment and click Create.
- Click the Page Properties icon on top, and select the Goal Assignment Detail page.
- Click Components on the top left, find and select the Related Tasks component and drag it to the Goal Assignment Detail page.
The Goal Assignment record page is displayed when you open a goal from the Goals tab you configured in step 11. -
Configure the theme navigation menu.
- Click the theme navigation menu to view its settings.
- Set the Max Items to Display as required.
- Click Edit Default Navigation, and then select Add Menu Item.

Configure the menu item for Career Planning and Life Goals:
Field Value Name Career Planning and Life Goals Type Site Page Page Career Planning and Life Goals - Save your changes.
- Apply additional customizations as required, then preview and publish the site. See Customize Sites with Experience Builder.
