Set Up Your Learner Portal for Delegated Access

Use Experience Builder to create a My Proxies page, add the My Proxies component to it, configure portal navigation, and publish the updated learner portal.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Education Cloud license and the Revenue Cloud Billing license
User Permissions Needed
To set up your learner portal for delegated access:

Education Cloud Full Access permission set

AND

Create and Set Up Experiences

AND

View Setup and Configuration

Before you begin:

  • To create an Experience Cloud site, first turn on Digital Experiences for your org and register the domain. See Enable Digital Experiences.
  • Become a site member as a Salesforce admin, Experience admin, publisher, or builder.
  • To configure pages and components, and control access to them, set up a learner portal. See Set Up an Education Portal.

To set up your learner portal for delegated access:

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter All Sites, and then select All Sites under Digital Experiences.
  2. Create a site or open an existing site.
    1. To create an Experience Cloud site, see Create an Education Portal.
    2. To use an existing Experience Cloud site, click Workspaces for the site.
  3. Under My Workspaces, click Builder.
  4. Add and configure a My Proxies page.
    1. At the top of the page, click the Page Properties icon, and then select + New Page.
    2. Select Standard Page, select a layout, and then click Next.
    3. Enter My Proxies as the name, enter a URL, and click Create.
    4. On the My Proxies page, click the Page Properties icon.
    5. In the upper-left corner, click Components. Find the My Proxies component, and then drag it to the My Proxies page.
      We recommend the name My Proxies, but you can change it to suit your institution’s needs.
  5. Configure the theme navigation menu.
    1. Click the theme navigation menu to view its settings.
    2. Set Max Items to Display to the number of menu items to show.
    3. Click Edit Default Navigation, and then select Add Menu Item.
    4. Configure the menu for My Proxies:
      Field Value
      Name My Proxies
      Type Site Page
      Page My Proxies
    5. Save your changes.
  6. Apply additional customizations as required, and then preview and publish the site. See Customize Sites with Experience Builder.
