Sample Uses for Behavior Involvement

Understanding a student or faculty member's role in a behavior event can help you develop appropriate responses. The Behavior Involvement object can help you track behavior events.

• University—Track involvement of a student who might be the victim of a theft, a roommate who might be a perpetrator of the theft, and a Resident Advisor who might be a witness or reporter of the theft.
• K-12—Track involvement of a student who might be the victim of a bullying incident, another student who might be the perpetrator, and a faculty member who might be a witness or reporter of the incident.
• Any educational institution—Track the frequency of a certain person’s involvement in behavior events or the frequency of certain types of events at your institution.

Create a Behavior Involvement Record

Use these steps to create a behavior involvement record in Education Data Architecture.

Before you create a Behavior Involvement record, first create a Case record. See Case .

1. From the Case record for this event, click New in the Behavior Involvement related list.

2. Enter a Contact name and the person's Role in the event. Don’t change the Case Number.

3. Click Save & New to create a Behavior Involvement record for each person involved in the incident, or click Save after you've entered the last person involved.
