Model Behavior Management

Sometimes student interactions don't meet your institution's behavior expectations. Other times, student actions embody the highest values expressed in a school's honor code. For monitoring both problematic and praiseworthy behavior, use the Case, Contact, Behavior Involvement, and Behavior Response objects as part of an overall behavior management program.

EDA custom fields have been added to the standard Salesforce Case object to track the type of behavior event and when and where it occurred. An EDA custom object, Behavior Involvement, is a junction object that relates individual Contacts to the behavior event, such as the students involved and perhaps a faculty member who witnessed or reported the event. Another custom object, Behavior Response, tracks the corrective or affirmative responses applied to the Contacts involved.

Let's consider a sample incident involving two students during a science lab that results in lab equipment damage and hurt feelings. This sample set of data records captures the incident and the school's responses.

Use Salesforce reports, dashboards, and data analytics to stay on top of case resolution, detect at-risk behavior patterns, and learn which interventions support student success the most.
