Configure Guest User Permissions on the Reviewer Portal

Make sure your guest users, such as reviewers who do not have a login to your Reviewer Portal, and System Administrators have access they need to standard and custom objects and fields.

Note Salesforce is retiring foundationConnect. As part of this product retirement, the ability to renew subscriptions to this product will end on January 31, 2025, and the product will be deactivated on January 31, 2026. Make sure your guest users, such as reviewers who do not have a login to your Reviewer Portal, and System Administrators have access they need to standard and custom objects and fields.

Configure the Reviewer Portal guest user object and field permissions by editing the guest user profile. Here's how to configure permissions using the enhanced profile user interface.

1. Click , then click Setup.

2. Enter All Communities in the Quick Find Box, then click All Communities.

3. Click the Workspaces link to your Reviewer Portal.

4. Click Administration.

5. Click Pages.

6. Click Go to Force.com under Advanced Customizations. A new tab will automatically switch you to Salesforce Classic.

7. Click Public Access Settings to open the Reviewer Portal Profile page.

8. To configure an object's permissions, click Edit then scroll down to the object to specify the minimum object permissions.

9. Click Save.

10. To configure field-level security, scroll down to Field-Level Security and click View on the object you want to configure.

11. Click Edit.

12. Specify the minimum field-level security permissions, then click Save.

Note These tables document the minimum object and field access recommended for core foundationConnect functionality to work on the Reviewer Portal. Without these permissions in place, your users may experience errors. If an object or field isn't listed — and many standard Salesforce items are not — it means that either:

• foundationConnect doesn't have a dependency on it. Your organization can decide whether it wants to customize that setting, or
• It's a default, out-of-the-box setting that can't be changed

In addition to these permissions, any field added to a field set requires additional permissions.

• Account (Organization) Permissions
  Review the minimum required access for the Account (Organization) object in foundationConnect.
• Community Configuration Permissions
  Review the minimum required access for the Community Configuration object in foundationConnect.
• Contact Permissions
  Review the minimum required access for the Contact object in foundationConnect.
• CustomHTML Permissions
  Review the minimum required access for the CustomHTML object in foundationConnect.
• Document Permissions
  Review the minimum required access for the Document object in foundationConnect.
• Portal User Permissions
  Review the minimum required access for the Portal User object in foundationConnect.
• Task Permissions
  Review the minimum required access for the Task object in foundationConnect.
• User Permissions
  Review the minimum required access for the User object in foundationConnect.
