Capture Giving Influence with Soft Credits in Nonprofit

Streamline your fundraising efforts by tracking soft credits on Gift Commitments. Gift Entry Officers and Annual Fund Managers can capture and manage the influence of third parties on donations effectively, making sure every contribution is recognized and attributed accurately. This functionality not only simplifies the recording process but also aids in strategic donor engagement and segmentation.

To create soft credits:

FundraisingAccess permission set

If you don't see the Gift Default Soft Credit related list on the commitment page, add it to the Related tab.

  1. From the commitment page, open the Related tab.
  2. Next to Gift Default Soft Credits, click New.
  3. Select the recipient of the gift soft credit.
  4. Enter either the amount or percent of the gift soft credit.
    The soft credit can be greater than 100 percent of the gift.
  5. Select the role of the soft credit recipient. For example, select Matched Donor.
  6. Save your work.
    This gift default soft credit applies to all gifts that are a part of the selected gift commitment.
