            Close a Gift Commitment in Nonprofit

            Close a gift commitment when you no longer need to track it.

            Required Editions

            REQUIRED EDITIONS
            Available in: Lightning Experience

            Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Nonprofit Cloud
            User Permissions Needed  
            To close a gift commitment:

            FundraisingAccess permission set
            1. From the App Launcher (App Launcher), find and select Gift Commitments.
            2. Select the gift commitment that you want to close.
            3. Click Show More, and then select Close Gift Commitment.

            After you close a gift commitment, the status of the unpaid or failed gift transactions is updated depending on the value of the Formal Commitment Type field.

            Value of Formal Commitment Type Field Status of Unpaid or Failed Transactions
            Verbal Canceled
            Written Written Off

            To include the Formal Commitment Type field, customize the commitment page layout.
