The Related Records Detail Display gives you aggregated or summarized data at a glance. An example of this component is the Outreach Summary on an Outreach Source Code or Campaign page in the Fundraising apps. The Outreach Summary shows aggregated data on a campaign. To configure the Related Records Detail Display, choose a home or record page on which to place the component. Then you select an object from which to pull summary data. Lastly, you select and group the specific data you want to show in the rollups.
- Edit the page you want to add a Related Records Detail Display to.
- In the Lightning App Builder, drag the Related Records Detail Display component to where you want it to be on the page.
-
For the Detail Panel Name, enter a name for the
summary.
For example, if you're creating a donation history rollup, name it Donor Giving History.
-
For Related Entity, select the object that you want to build the summary from.
Donor Gift Summary is commonly used.
- To let users create and edit this summary, select Allow create and edit.
- Click Add Group to open the New Group pane.
-
Enter a name for the group that describes the relationship between the fields
you're including in the group.
For example, Campaign Summary describes a group of fields that includes Start Date, Gift Count, Response Rate, Actual Cost in Campaign, and Average Gift Amount.
-
Select the fields to include in the group.
Fields can be standard or custom fields. Custom objects aren't supported.
-
To ensure that specific fields appear in the component's preview, drag them to
the top of the list.
Fields at the top of the list are prioritized for preview. The width of the component on the page determines the number of fields shown in the preview.
- Repeat these steps for each group you make.
- To add a filter to your summary component, open the Set Component Visibility pane and click Add Filter to set the filter parameters.
- Save your work.
-
Activate the page if it's ready. You can also activate the page anytime by
editing it.
To make the page visible to users immediately, activate it as an Org Default or App Default.
If you chose Campaign or Account as the object for this component, activate it as App Default and select the Fundraising apps where you want the component to appear. Campaign and Account home page customizations don't appear if the page is activated as an Org Default.
