Schedule a Gift Commitment Batch Processing Job in Nonprofit

Enter large volumes of gift commitments at one time to improve efficiency and data accuracy. Run batch jobs with a flow to update commitment records based on transactions, schedules, and other parameters.

To schedule a gift commitment batch processing job:

Fundraising_Admin permission set group

In the Summer ‘26 release, Fundraising enhanced performance and scalability for processing recurring gift commitments. NextGen Gift Processing runs batch jobs in parallel by default. It can run up to five batch job parts of two thousand records each in parallel to process more commitments in less time.

Note If you previously cloned the Coordinate Gift Commitment Processing flow, deactivate your current flow and then clone it again, because we improved the flow. If you decide not to turn on NextGen Commitment Processing, the original batch processing engine continues to work, though it won’t receive further updates.

To use NextGen Commitment Processing, turn it on in Fundraising Settings and then follow these steps.

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Flows, and then select Flows.
  2. Click New Flow.
    1. In the new dialog, click View All Automations.
    2. Deselect all boxes except Scheduled.
    3. Click Coordinate Gift Commitment Processing under Templates.
  3. Edit the Start element and set a schedule for the flow to run.
  4. Click Save and enter a new name or leave the default name.
  5. Activate the scheduled flow.
  6. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Process Automation Settings, and then select Process Automation Settings.
  7. Assign Default Workflow User to the admin user who runs the flow.

The customized flow appears as a scheduled job on the All Scheduled Jobs page. Use Monitor Workflow Services to monitor the status and health of your batch jobs. When you process many gift commitments, consider increasing the value in the Timeout field.
