          User Permissions Needed
          To schedule a gift commitment:

          FundraisingAccess permission set

          OR

Modified Education Cloud Full Access permission set

          1. From the App Launcher (App Launcher), find and select Gift Commitments.
          2. Select the gift commitment that you want to schedule.
          3. Click Manage Gift Commitment Schedule, or under Gift Commitment Setup, next to Manage Gift Commitment Schedules, click Manage.

When you create and manage gift schedules on the Gift Commitment page, Fundraising automatically creates or updates the gift transactions. If you don’t use this page, you must manually create or update the transactions.

          4. If the gift is a recurring donation, provide this information.
            1. Select a payment start date and optionally an end date.
            2. Select the transaction period, for example, Monthly.

Don’t select a transaction period of Custom if this commitment has a recurring schedule type. Custom is only a valid transaction period for commitments, like pledges or one-time gifts, with a custom schedule type.

            3. If you selected Monthly as the transaction period, enter the day of the month to run the schedule.

For example, enter 1 to run the schedule on the first day of the month, or enter 15 to run the schedule on the 15th day of the month.

            4. Enter the interval at which you want to run the schedule. For example, if the transaction period is monthly, enter 3 to run the schedule after every 3 months.
            5. Enter the recurring transaction amount.
            6. Select a payment method and enter any associated payment instrument information, such as Last 4 and expiration dates.
              Note
Note A payment method of ACH or credit card, and at least the Last 4 field populated, adds a payment instrument lookup to the schedule. This lookup creates a payment instrument record if none previously existed.
            7. If needed, select a campaign.
          5. If the gift is a non-recurring donation, provide this information.

You can add up to 30 non-recurring donations to the donor record, and the schedules can overlap. For example, the due date for one gift can be between the start and end dates of another scheduled gift.

            1. Click Add Gift Commitment Schedule, and select a start date, which is the transaction due date.
            2. Select a payment method.
            3. Enter the transaction amount.
            4. Select a payment method and enter any associated payment instrument information, like Last 4 and expiration dates.
              Note
Note A payment method of ACH or credit card, and at least the Last 4 field populated, adds a payment instrument lookup to the schedule. This lookup creates a payment instrument record if none previously existed.
            5. If needed, select a campaign.
            6. If you want to schedule another gift commitment, select Add Gift Commitment Schedule.
              Note
Note Gift transactions are created for every schedule that you create or update when modifications are made to one or more standard or custom fields on a schedule. If you want to create a transaction for an existing schedule without changing any fields, work with your Salesforce admin to create a flow that calls the Manage Gift Commitment Schedule invocable action. Then, associate this flow with a new custom action on the associated gift commitment.
          6. Save your changes.
