            Set Gift Batch Defaults in Nonprofit

            To enter gift batches more quickly and with fewer errors, set gift batch default values to automatically set common values for gift batches.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience

            Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Nonprofit Cloud
            User Permissions Needed  
            To create a gift batch defaults:

            FundraisingAccess permission set

            Gift batch default values apply to new and empty rows in the Gift Entry Grid. You can't set defaults for read-only fields, which are indicated by a lock icon when you hover over them.

            1. From an unprocessed gift batch, select Set Batch Defaults from the drop-down menu.
              The Set Batch Defaults grid opens.
            2. Fill out the fields in the grid that have values that are common to all of the gifts in the batch.
              Fields include: gift received date, amount, payment method, outreach source code, campaign, designations, and soft credits for the gifts.
            3. Choose a method to save your changes.
              1. To save the default values without continuing on the gift batch, click Save and Close.
              2. To save the default values before continuing on to the gift batch, click Save and Continue.
