          Required Editions

          REQUIRED EDITIONS
          Available in: Lightning Experience

Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Nonprofit Cloud

          User Permissions Needed
To set up outreach source codes:

          Fundraising_Admin permission set group

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Fundraising, and then select Outreach Source Codes.
          2. To set the parameters for unique outreach source code URLs, set custom objects and fields for the UTM Source, UTM Medium, and UTM Campaign parameters. Though you can select your preferred settings, the suggested settings are:
            • For UTM Source, select Outreach Source Code for the custom object and SourceCode for the custom field.
            • For UTM Medium, select Outreach Source Code for the custom object and MessageChannel for the custom field.
            • For UTM Campaign, select Campaign for the custom object and Id for the custom field.
          3. Turn on Outreach Source Code Generation.
The Code Formula Structure section opens.
          4. Set the outreach source code formula structure.
            1. Select the reference fields that you want to use in the code.
            2. Choose the function category for the code generation formula.
            3. Select the function for the formula.
If a function isn’t available in the list, use a custom formula field that has access to all functions, and reference that custom field in the formula editor.
            4. Choose an operator for the formula.
This formula determines how the automatically generated source codes are structured. For example, to automatically generate source codes that identify the platform for the message channel and the campaign name, use this formula:

IF(ISBLANK({MessageChannelPlatform}), {Campaign.Name}, {MessageChannelPlatform}) + SUBSTR({Name}, 0, 4). Using this formula, the outreach via an Instagram® ad for the Chameleon Fun Run campaign generates InstagramCham for the outreach source code.

          5. Continue to add references, functions, and operators until your formula contains all the information that you want to capture in the code.
          6. To confirm that your formula is valid, click Validate Syntax.
If there are errors in your syntax, fix your formula before you save the formula.
          7. Save your changes.
Outreach source codes are now generated automatically and are formatted according to your selections.
