Install Grants Management
Learn about Grants Management, what is included, prerequisites, which installer to use, and how to install.

When you install Grants Management, you get a managed package that contains essential metadata and custom code. It’s important to note that you can’t modify the components, such as objects and fields. They're locked with limited edit access so that the managed package can be upgraded later. - Prerequisites

Prerequisites
Before you install Grants Management, make sure you have the required licenses and settings turned on.
- Licenses for Grants Management and Customer Community Plus Login purchased through your account executive. You won't be able to install Grants Management without these licenses. If you aren't sure what license you have, see View Your Organization’s Feature Licenses in Salesforce Help.

Decide Which Installer to Use
Setting up a new grantmaking portal can be intimidating. We have two installers to choose from depending on your experience setting up Digital Experiences and sharing sets.
You can choose either the Grants Management installer, which includes limited configuration, or the Grants Management and Build Community installer, which includes base features and additional configurations to help you quickly set up your portal.
Use the Grants Management installer if you have unique processes and are comfortable configuring Digital Experiences and sharing sets. This includes core features of Grants Management , including:
Use the Grants Management and Build Community installer if you want additional Digital Experience configuration and a preconfigured sharing set. This includes core features of Grants Management as well as:

A grantseeker profile (Grantseeker Plus Login) with preconfigured object and field permissions that gives the grantseeker access to apply for funding.

The Manage Grants, Invitation Wizard, and Manage - Verifications permission sets. These need to be individually assigned to users for full access to Grants Management .

Several flows that automate steps in the application process for a grantseeker.

Quick actions to streamline navigation and provide powerful functionality to both grantmakers and grantseekers.

A grantseeker sharing set that gives the grantseeker profile the ability to view their Funding Requests and assigned Requirements.

A new Experience Cloud site leveraging the Grantee Portal site template. This site template is preconfigured with fictitious information you can update and quickly launch your grantee portal.
Install Grants Management
After you confirm that you have the prerequisites, you’re ready to install Grants Management.

Salesforce recommends installing in a Sandbox environment or a Developer org before installing into a Production org. For more information, see Create a Sandbox in Salesforce Help.

Log out of all other Salesforce orgs. We recommend using an incognito window to ensure you install in the correct org.

Go to the Grants Management installer page

Click Log In and select either Production or Developer Org or Sandbox Org.

Click Install Grants Management and Build Community - View Details to use the advanced configuration installer. Click Install Grants Management - View Details to use the base installer.

Click Allow.

Click Install. You'll see a confirmation when the installation is complete.

To access the installed org, click View Org.
