Optional Configuration
Review the available optional configurations to help your organization be more efficient in performing grantseeking activities.
- Create a Case Layout for External Users
Create a Case page layout specific to external users, such as grantseekers, to review their Account Update Requests. This is an optional step. - Add Cases to Navigation
Add Cases to the Grants Management navigation bar for grantmakers to easily access submitted requests, such an Account Update Request. This is an optional step. - Update the Account Update Request Global Action
The Submit Account Update Request component uses the Account Update Request global quick action, which defines fields that show up to a user when requesting an organization update and controls how the fields are displayed. You can make updates to the quick action to better reflect your organization and its processes. - Update the Account Update Request Case Quick Action
Add record types, predefined field values, and fields to the Account Update Request Case quick action.
Create a Case Layout for External Users
Create a Case page layout specific to external users, such as grantseekers, to review their Account Update Requests. This is an optional step.

Click
, and then click Setup. -
Click Object Manager.

Click Cases.

Click Case Page Layouts.

Click New.
-
Enter a Name. For example, External User Case Layout.

Click Save.

Include the fields you want an external user to see. For example, Contact Name, Status, Priority, Case Origin, Date/Time Opened, Subject, Description, and Web Email.

Click Save.

Click Page Layout Assignments.

Click Edit Assignments.

Select the external user profiles. For example, Grantseeker Plus Login.

Select the new page layout from the Page Layout To Use. For example, External User Case Layout.

Click Save.
Update the Account Update Request Global Action
The Submit Account Update Request component uses the Account Update Request global quick action, which defines fields that show up to a user when requesting an organization update and controls how the fields are displayed. You can make updates to the quick action to better reflect your organization and its processes.
Click
, and then click Setup.Enter Global in the Quick Find Box, then select Global Actions.
Click Account Update Request.
Get a Record Type
By default, doesn't set a record type for the Account Update Request global quick action. If your org has defined record types for Accounts, those can be assigned.
From the Account Update Request global quick action, click Edit.
Select a Grants Management Record Type.
Click Save.

Create Predefined Field Values
Create predefined field values to automatically assign a value to a field.
From the Account Update Request global quick action, click New.
Select a Field Name. For example, Account Source.
Select a Specific Value. For example, Web.

Enter a Formula Value, if needed.
Click Save.
Update the Layout
By default, the Account Name and Billing Address fields are visible to external users in the Account Update Request. If you need additional fields, you can add them here—just remember to give external users access to any added fields.
From the Account Update Request global quick action, click Edit Layout.
Drag a field from the palette.
Note The Account Owner field isn't currently supported on the Account Update Request global quick action page layout.Click Save.
Update the Account Update Request Case Quick Action
Add record types, predefined field values, and fields to the Account Update Request Case quick action.

Click Object Manager.

Click Contact.

Click Buttons, Links, and Actions.

Click Account Update Request Case.
Set Record Types
By default, Grants Management doesn't set a record type for the Account Update Request Case quick action. If your org has defined record types for Cases, those can be assigned.

From the Account Update Request Case quick action, click Edit.

Select a Record Type.

Click Save.
