          Roles in the Documentation

The Grants Management documentation is designed to guide admins through the basic setup of Grants Management. Following this documentation, you should have a functional portal for your grantseekers to visit, and your internal users will be able to perform grantmaking tasks, such as reviewing Funding Requests, inviting a grantseeker to apply, and managing milestones through Requirements.

To help guide you through using Grants Management, we have developed terminology to help orient you and make set up a breeze.

          Role Description
Admin Admin is short for Salesforce administrator, a person in your organization who configures and customizes Salesforce, including Grants Management. An admin sets up a Grants Management site and grants permissions to users.
Grantmaker A person in your organization who performs grantmaking duties, such as reviewing Funding Requests and setting up Disbursements. This is a general term for internal Grants Management users, although they may have different titles in your organization.
Grantseeker A person outside of your organization who is seeking funding from your organization. They may visit your portal and apply to Funding Programs directly, or a grantmaker may invite them to apply for a Funding Program.
Grantee A person outside of your organization who is awarded funding from your organization as the result of a Funding Request made in your portal.
