Grants Management: Validate EIN (Sample)

Learn what's included in the flow that validates the tax ID for an applying organization.

Flow Element Description
1. Start  
2. Get Records: Get Account Record Searches for and retrieves the Account record related to this flow.
3. Screen: Check Tax Status Shows the Tax Status Search component to the grantmaker, allowing them to search for a United States-based organization’s EIN and select a valid result.
4. Screen: Selected Match Results Shows tax search results from GuideStar that a grantmaker selected.
5. Assignment: Set Account Fields

Changes the fields on the Account from the selected results, including:

  • Account Name to the Name 

  • Tax ID to the EIN

6. Update Records: Update Account Updates the Account Name and Tax ID fields on the Account record.
7. Screen: Success Message Presents a confirmation message that the Account is updated.
