Course Offering represents a specific instance of a Course that's offered during a specific Term.

A Course Offering is always related to a Term. Other commonly related records are Course Offering Schedule, Course Connection, and Facility records.

Keep the Course Offering object up to date.
Keep Up with Course Offering Updates
If you intend to track the physical locations of Course Offerings by relating them to Facility records, add the Facility field to your Course Offering page layout. The Facility field is not included by default.
Create a Course Offering Record
Before creating Course Offering records, make sure you've created the Course and Term records they're related to.
- From the Course record, click New in the Course Offerings related list.
- Select a Term or click + New Term to create a new one.
- Enter the Course Offering ID, which should match the ID naming format that your institution uses.
- If you select a faculty member in the Primary Faculty field, we automatically create a Course Connection record for that faculty member. The faculty member is also marked as Primary on the Course Connection.
- Fill in other details as needed. Only select a Time Block if you aren't going to relate a Course Offering Schedule to this Course Offering. See Create Time Block Records for information about using these settings correctly.
- Click Save.
