University–Define badges and certifications that your institution offers or would like to track for your students such as professional certifications related to a student's program.

K-12–Define awards and certifications from extracurricular activities for letters of recommendation or for scholarship applications.
Credential Record Types
Credential represents an industry or organizational achievement. These record types come preconfigured.

Badge—A symbol of achievement.

Certification—A non-credit certification that indicates that the learner has met specified requirements.

License—A credential indicating a person is licensed for certain activities.
Keep Up with Credential Updates
Consider these updates, depending on which version of K-12 Architecture Kit you originally installed.

Create a Credential Record
Capture students’ achievements by creating Credential records.
If the Contact record has a Credential related list, click New. If not, from the App Launcher, find and select Credential, and click New.
Select a record type and click Next.
Enter all relevant details.
Click Save. Or click Save & New to create another Credential record.
