Settings Health Check

Run Settings Health Check to look for configuration errors in EDA Settings and related settings in Setup.

Settings Health Check reports passed and failed validations and recommends fixes for errors it finds. Settings Health Check validates EDA Settings related to Accounts, Affiliation mappings, Reciprocal settings, and Course Connections. For example, if more than one Affiliation mapping specifies the same Account record type, that validation fails. If a mapping involves an Account record type that isn't marked Active in Setup or doesn't exist, those validations fail, too.

Note My Domain must be enabled in your org or you won’t be able to access Settings Health Check. To verify that it’s enabled, go to Setup, then search for and select My Domain. To learn more, see My Domain in Salesforce Help.

Access Settings Health Check

The way you access Settings Health Check depends on the version of EDA you originally installed.

• If you started with EDA 1.114 or earlier and you can see the Health Check tab in your org, remove access to it for all profiles and, instead, access Health Check from the Education Cloud Settings tab.

• If you started with EDA 1.114 or later, access Settings Health Check from the Education Cloud Settings tab.

Run Settings Health Check

Run settings health check from Education Cloud Settings in K-12 Architecture Kit.

From the Education Cloud Settings tab:

1. From Tools, click Go to Settings Health Check.

2. Click Run Settings Health Check.

3. When Settings Health Check completes, follow the recommended fix for any failed checks, and then rerun Settings Health Check.

Settings Health Check Guidelines

Keep these guidelines in mind for specific checks.

Settings Type	Validation Logic
Affiliation Mappings	Validation applies to all Affiliation mappings, including preconfigured and custom mappings. Account record types used in Affiliation mappings fail validation unless they're marked Active. Validation of Auto-Enrollment Status and Auto-Enrollment Role values applies to only the Affiliation mappings that have Auto-Enrollment selected.
Course Connections	Student and Faculty Course Connection record type validation applies only if Course Connection Record Types is enabled in EDA Settings.
Reciprocal Relationships	Validation applies to all Reciprocal Relationships, including preconfigured and custom settings. Validation applies to all Reciprocal Relationships even if they aren’t marked Active. Validation assumes that you're using List Setting as the Reciprocal Method for creating Reciprocal Relationships. If you're using the Value Inversion method, validation still applies, but reported errors aren't meaningful.
