          Test Score

          Test Score

The score on a section of a specific test or a composite score.

          • Sample Uses for Test Score
Relate a Test Score with a Test to track a prospective student's composite (overall) scores on tests like the SAT or GRE. Alternatively, track section-specific scores to assess student readiness for a post-high school education.
          • Configure Test Score
Keep the Test Score object up to date and add custom metadata.
          • Create a Test Score Record
Use these steps to create a test score record in K-12 Architecture Kit.

          Sample Uses for Test Score

Relate a Test Score with a Test to track a prospective student's composite (overall) scores on tests like the SAT or GRE. Alternatively, track section-specific scores to assess student readiness for a post-high school education.

For example, consider individually tracking the math, evidence-based reading, and writing scores of the SAT to determine which subjects students need more help preparing for.

          Configure Test Score

Keep the Test Score object up to date and add custom metadata.

Keep Up with Test Score Updates

Consider these updates, depending on which version of

          K-12 Architecture Kit

          you originally installed:

If Installed Before Version Configuration Task
          1.22

For more information, see Add Custom Fields and Picklist Values.

          • Add the following fields to your page layouts, as needed.

            • Credentialing Identifier

            • Letter Score

            • Status

          1.8

Create a K-12 All Test Scores list view:

          • Sharing Settings: All users can see this list view

          • Filter by Owner: All test scores

          • Display order: Test Score Name, Test Type, Subject Area, Score, Percentile. See Create or Clone a List View.

          • Add K-12 All Test Scores as a related list on Test. For more information, see Display a New Custom Object After a Product Release.

          • Compact Layout with fields in this order: Test Name, Contact, Test Type, Test Date

Add the following quick actions to the Test Score page layout to make them available from Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions bar: Edit, New Note, Printable View, Change Owner, Clone, and Delete.

Configure the New Case quick action:

          1. Ensure the correct user profiles have permission to specify a new record type for the Case object.

          2. Edit the unmanaged New Case global action to specify an Incident record type for Case.

          3. On the Test Score page layout, replace the default New Case quick action with the New Case action provided in this update. If you see two New Case quick actions, use the unmanaged one (not k12kit__New Case).

Add Custom Metadata to Test Score Records

With Custom Metadata Types, you can create your own setup objects whose records are metadata rather than data. You can add a definition of a test score that includes how the test is graded, the scoring range, and the passing value.

          1. Click Setup, then click Setup.

          2. In the Quick Find box, search for and select Custom Metadata Types.

          3. Next to Test Score Definition, click Manage Records.

          4. Enter the relevant information and click Save. Or click Save & New to create another Test Score Definition.
