What's Installed with K-12 Architecture Kit

Learn about the packages installed with K-12 Architecture Kit, and identify the components that you can modify.

What's Installed

When you install K-12 Architecture Kit, you get:

  • A managed package that contains essential metadata and custom code. These components, such as objects and fields, can't be modified by your org. They're locked with limited edit access to allow the managed package to be upgraded later.

  • An unmanaged package that contains metadata-like permission sets on standard objects and various record types. Except for the Administrative and Household Account record types, which the K-12 Architecture Kit account model requires, System Administrators can modify or delete unmanaged package metadata.

For details about managed and unmanaged packages, see Understanding Packages in Salesforce Help.
