Enter Additional Donations for an Existing Recurring Donation

Learn how to enter an installment Opportunity when your donor asks to make an additional donation along with their regular Recurring Donation.

NPSP creates installment Opportunities according to the schedule information on the Recurring Donation record. Sometimes though, a donor might make another donation in addition to their regular donation. That's great! Here's all you need to do:

1. Create an Opportunity for the additional donation.

2. Enter the Primary Contact, Amount, Close Date, and Stage, plus any additional information.

3. In the Recurring Donation field, add your donor's existing Recurring Donation record.

4. Save the record.
