Set Required Admin Permissions to Manage NPSP Settings
Almost all Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) configuration is managed from the NPSP Settings tab. In NPSP Settings, you can change key NPSP behaviors, turn on NPSP features, run a system health check, and view error logs. System admins and users with a profile containing the necessary permissions can access the NPSP settings.
To grant a profile access to manage NPSP Settings, add these system permissions to the appropriate user profile.
- Author Apex
- Customize Application
- Modify All Data
These permissions also grant access to many areas of Setup as well as edit access to all records in your Salesforce org. Don't grant these permissions lightly! If you're not an experienced Salesforce admin, ask for help before making any of these changes.

If you can’t access NPSP Settings in your sandbox or production environments, try these troubleshooting tips.
