Manage Funding Requests
Set up funding requests to track applications, associated constituents, requirements, and create disbursements in Outbound Funds Module.
- Create a Funding Request
Once the Funding Program is defined, you can create a Funding Request to track the applications. - Create a Funding Request Role
The Funding Request Role allows you to track people associated with a Funding Request. - Create a Requirement
Requirements allow organizations to track deliverables or milestones on a Funding Request before it’s approved or closed. - Create a Disbursement
A Disbursement helps schedule and track outgoing funds to funding recipients. It’s important to note this doesn’t perform the act of disbursement, such as depositing funds into a recipient's bank account.
Create a Funding Request
Once the Funding Program is defined, you can create a Funding Request to track the applications.

From the App Launcher (
), find and select Funding Requests. -
Click New.

Enter a Funding Request Name. For example, Grantwood City Food Bank

Optionally, configure additional details.

Click Save

Create a Funding Request Role
The Funding Request Role allows you to track people associated with a Funding Request.

While viewing a Funding Request, click Create Funding Request Role.

Search for or create a Contact.

Select the Status. For example, Current for active Contacts, or Former for inactive Contacts.

Select a Role.

Click Save.
Create a Requirement
Requirements allow organizations to track deliverables or milestones on a Funding Request before it’s approved or closed.
For example, you may require an application, letter of intent, and proposed budget to be submitted before the Funding Request is reviewed. You can add these as Requirements that can be managed and tracked.
While viewing a Funding Request, click the Requirements related list.

Click New.
Enter a Requirement Name. For example, Application.
Select a Primary Contact.
Select a Type.
Next to Assigned, search for and select the grantseeker user.
If a disbursement has been made, select or add it from Disbursement.
Enter a Due Date. This is when the Primary Contact is required to submit their Requirement information.
If completed, enter a Completed Date.
Select a Status.
Select Is Add Files Visible? to allow a grantseeker to upload files to the Requirement. A grantseeker won’t be able to upload files to the Requirement if this isn’t enabled.
Optionally, enter additional information in Requirements.
Click Save.

Repeat for as many Requirements as needed.
Create a Disbursement
A Disbursement helps schedule and track outgoing funds to funding recipients. It’s important to note this doesn’t perform the act of disbursement, such as depositing funds into a recipient's bank account.

While viewing a Funding Request that has an Awarded Amount, click Create Disbursements.

Enter the Number of Disbursements. For example, enter 4 for four separate payments to the awardee.

Select the disbursement frequency in Interval and Period. For example, an Interval of 1 and Period of Month indicates one payment every month for 4 months.

Select a First Date when the initial disbursement begins.

Enter the total Amount of the Funding Request to disburse, if different from the Amount Awarded. You can’t disburse funds greater than the Amount Awarded, but you can disburse less.

Click Calculate to calculate a disbursement schedule based on the Number of Disbursements, Interval, Period, First Date, and Amount fields.

Click Save.
