Configure Absent and Present Values
We include three Attendance Statuses out of the box: Present, Excused Absence, and Unexcused Absence. If you need additional statuses, make sure to indicate if they are Absent or Present values so they’re factored into our summary fields.
First, add the new value to the Attendance Status picklist.
From the object management settings for Service Deliveries go to Fields & Relationships.
Click Attendance Status.
In the Values related list, click New.
Add the new value. If adding multiple values, enter one on each line. For example, Partially Attended.
Click Save.
Copy the API Name of the new value, as you’ll need it in the next step.
Next, indicate if the value is either Absent or Present.
From Setup, click the Home tab.
Enter Metadata in the Quick Find box, then select Custom Metadata Types.
In the row for Bucketed Value, click Manage Records.
Click New.
Enter a Label for the value. For example, Partially Attended. The Bucketed Value Name auto-populates.
In the Bucket field, select either Absent or Present. For the Partially Attended status, we want the client marked as Present, so we’ll select Present.
Paste the API Name from the previous step into the Value field.

Click Save.
