Enable Mass Program Cohort Updates

Allow users to add multiple Program Engagements to a single Program Cohort directly from a Program Engagement list view.

For example, a program manager may want to segment clients that they've recently enrolled in a Program into Program Cohorts. Or, they may want to create a Program Cohort for all the Program Engagements in a Program. 

There are two ways to let users add multiple Program Engagements to a Program Cohort:

• Add the Add to Program Cohort quick action to Program Engagement list views.

• Enable inline editing in list views. If your users are already familiar with out-of-the-box list view inline editing, you may wish to use this option. This option requires the user to add the Program Cohort field to their Program Engagement list view.

Add a Quick Action to Program Engagements

Add the Add to Program Cohort quick action to Program Engagement list views so users can easily add multiple Program Engagements to a single Program Cohort.

After you add the button, users can use it to mass add Program Engagements to a Program Cohort. See Add Program Engagements to a Program Cohort.

1. Click , then click Setup.

2. Click the Object Manager tab.

3. In the list of objects, click Program Engagement.

4. Click Search Layouts for Salesforce Classic.

5. Next to the List View layout, click , then select Edit.

6. In the Available Quick Actions list, select Add to Program Cohort, then click Add to move it to Selected Quick Actions.

7. Click Save.

Enable Inline Editing in List Views

Enable your users to inline edit selected records on Program Engagement list views with a single Program Cohort, provided the list view displays the Program Cohort field.

Inline editing allows your users to mass update records on list views they create for any object.

1. From Setup, enter User in the Quick Find box, then select User Management Settings.

2. Enable Enhanced Profile User Interface.

After you enable this, users can use inline editing to update selected records in a Program Engagement list view whether or not they have the Add to Program Cohort quick action.
