After you've installed PMM, it's time to give users access.
          • Import Your Data
If you installed PMM into an org without NPSP, you'll need to import your Contact data to PMM.

          Grant Access to Users

After you've installed PMM, it's time to give users access.

Assign the Program Management Standard User Profile

In order for your program staff to see PMM page layouts, they need to have permissions. To make this easy for you, we created a user profile that contains these permissions. You don't have to use it, but need to make sure whatever profile you do use has the same permissions in it.

          1. Click Setup gear icon, then click Setup.

          2. From Setup, enter Users in the Quick Find box, then click Users.

          3. Click Edit next to a user.

          4. Select the Salesforce user license.

          5. Select the Program Management Standard User profile.

          6. Click Save.

          Assign Program Management Permission Sets

          PMM includes these permission sets:

          • PMM: Manage: Assign to people who set the direction of your programs and need to configure Programs, Services, Program Engagements, Program Cohorts, and Service Deliveries in your org. This includes Salesforce admins, program directors, and program managers.

          • PMM: Deliver: Assign to the front line staff, case managers, and service providers who deliver your programs and services. People with this permission can see but not modify Programs, Program Cohorts, and Services. They can create and modify Program Engagements and Service Deliveries to support their day-to-day work.

          • PMM: View: Assign to executive staff or others who need visibility into program performance and service delivery to clients, but don't actually provide these services. People with this permission can view but not modify PMM data.

Assign these PMM permission sets based on how your users will use PMM.

          1. Click Setup gear icon, then click Setup.

          2. From Setup, enter Permission Sets in the Quick Find box, then click Permission Sets.

          3. Click the name of a PMM permission set.

          4. Click Manage Assignments.

          5. Click Add Assignments.

          6. Select the appropriate users, then click Assign.

For more information, see Permission Sets.

          Import Your Data

If you installed PMM into an org without NPSP, you'll need to import your Contact data to PMM.

Importing data is a complex topic. You can use the Salesforce Data Import Wizard or a third-party data import tool that you're familiar with. However, If you plan to import a lot of data, we suggest that you work with an implementation partner.

          Before you import your data:

          1. Clean your existing client data to make sure it's accurate, up-to-date, and free of duplicates.

          2. Make sure field names on your data match Salesforce field names. This will make data mapping easier.

          3. Import a small batch of records as a test before you commit to importing a large batch of records.
