Considerations for Partner Relationship Management
Get to know the potential caveats for partner relationship management (PRM) before you set up and start using PRM.
Required Editions
| Available for channel managers in Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, Developer Editions with Sales or Service. You must have at least one PRM add-on license. |
| Available for partners in supported Experience Cloud sites, accessed through Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, Developer Editions with Sales or Service. A PRM add-on license is required for each partner user. |
Permission Sets for Enhanced List Views
Partners can see records that are assigned to other partners who fall below them in the External Account Hierarchy of their site prior to assigning permission sets, assuming the partner has at least Read access to the record’s corresponding object. But partners can't see where in the hierarchy partners are positioned.
The Contact Intelligence View for Partners, Lead Intelligence View for Partners, and Pipeline Inspection for Partners permission sets include the View Roles and Role Hierarchy permission. This permission gives partners visibility into the hierarchy of the partners that fall below them.
Unavailable Enhance List View Features
These Contact Intelligence, Lead Intelligence, and Pipeline Inspection features aren’t available for partners from the Enhanced List View component in Experience Cloud sites.

- Einstein Activity Capture and features that required it, such as Email Insights and Activity Metric
- Einstein Conversation Insights and features that require it, such as Conversation Insight.
