Disable or Reconnect a Legacy Partner Connect Connection

Disable or Reconnect a Legacy Partner Connect Connection

To temporarily pause record exports, imports, and updates from flowing between Salesforce orgs, Salesforce admins can disable the connection. Disabling a connection lets admins reconnect easily without requiring admins to step through the connection process again. The vendor or partner admin can disable their connection. To reinstate the connection, each admin who disabled must also reconnect.

          Warning
Warning We recommend that you alert your peer admin when you’re disabling, reconnecting, or deleting a connection.
          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find Box, enter Partner Connect. Vendor admins select Partner Connect for Vendors. Partner admins select Partner Connect.
          2. Under Connect, find the connection that you want to disable. Vendor admins find connections in the Partners list. Partner admins find connections in the Vendors list.
          3. Click the action menu down arrow on the connection that you want to disable, and select Disable.
Partners’ attempted exports fail to flow to the partner org, and record updates fail to flow in either direction. The connection status banner in the org where the connection was disabled shows as Disabled. The connection status banner in the other org continues to show as Connected, unless the admin in the other org explicitly disables or deletes the connection from that org.
          4. To resume record exports, imports, and updates, admins in all orgs showing the Disabled connection status must click the action menu down arrow and select Reconnect.
Exports, imports, and updates begin to flow between orgs. Updates that were missed while the connection was disabled are sent the next time an integrated field on that record is updated. The connection status banners in both orgs show as Connected.
