Build and Run a Legacy Partner Connect Status Report
Vendor and partner admins can build a report to see the status of the export, import, and update transactions sent between orgs. Doing so lets admins address recurring issues, such as failed exports, imports, or updates.
Required Editions
| User Permissions Needed | |
|---|---|
| To create, edit, and delete a Partner Connect Status Report in a private folder: | Create and Customize Reports AND View All Data |
| To create and update custom report types and build reports: | Manage Custom Report Types AND View Setup and Configuration AND View Roles & Role Hierarchy |
- Create a custom report type for External Record Share Record Mappings so you can build a report on Partner Connect export, import, and update transactions. For the Primary Object, select External Record Share Record Mappings. If you want users who don’t have the Manage Custom Report Types to build reports using the Partner Connect report type, set the Deployment Status to Deployed. Otherwise, select In Development.
- To include the name of the vendor or partner company that’s involved with each transaction,
add a lookup field to the External Record Share Connection object on this custom report type.
From the saved view of the custom report type, click Edit Layout on the
Fields Available for Reports section.
- From View: External Record Share Record Mappings Fields, click Add fields related via lookup.
- From the Add Fields via Lookup screen, click External Record Share Connection.
- Select the fields you want to add to your report. We recommend adding Connection Name. Then click OK.
- Start building the report. On the Analytics tab, select Create | Report, or on the Reports tab, click New Report.
- For the report type, select the custom report type that you created for External Record Share Record Mappings in step 1 and click Start Report.
- Include the fields you want in the report by adding them as columns. We recommend adding these columns: External Record Share Connection: Connection Name, Internal Record: Full Name (if you’re integrating leads), Internal Record: Opportunity Name (if you’re integrating opportunities), Outbound Status, Inbound Status, and Last Modified Sent.
- Click Run. Then click the action menu down arrow, click
Save, and give the report a name and description.Save the report in your Private Folder unless you want users in your org with permission to run reports to have access to it.
The report that you created shows the inbound and outbound statuses of the latest attempted record exports and imports, and the latest attempted updates to connected external records.
