            Create a Campaign Record Channel

            You can create a Slack channel directly from a campaign record in Salesforce. Use this channel to collaborate with your team and receive important campaign updates.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Salesforce Lightning Experience
            Available in: Salesforce Starter and Pro Suite Editions.
            User Permissions Needed
            To set up Slack channels in Salesforce: Modify All Data
            To create campaign record channels in Salesforce:

            Edit on campaigns

            OR

            Marketing User selected in User Details
            1. Set up Slack channels in Salesforce with campaign as the supported object.
            2. Open the campaign record that you want to work with.
            3. Click Slack.
            4. Select where you want to collaborate.
              • To convert an existing Slack channel into a campaign record channel, click Link an existing channel and follow the prompts.

                If you opt to invite colleagues to the channel, invitees are added to the channel as soon as it’s created. You can also add members to the channel later from Slack.

                If you can't add an invitee when the channel is created, they get an email telling them how to join the channel. You can't add an invitee if they aren't a member of the Slack workspace where you created the channel.

              • To create a channel, enter a message, and then click Send now.

                This action creates a Slack channel with the same title as the campaign name.

            Work With Campaign Channels

            • To continue collaborating, enter messages in the pane. You can format your messages, mention specific colleagues, and add links and attachments. You can also pin the Slack pane to your campaign.
            • When you enter a message that mentions someone who isn’t a part of the channel, click Add Them to add them to the channel.
            • To view the channel in Slack, click the arrow icon next to the channel name in the pane and click Open Channel in Slack.
