Navigate your workday with help from Slackbot, your personal agent for work. Anything
you can do with Slackbot in your Slack workspace, you can also do with Slackbot wherever you
work in Salesforce. Slackbot has the same context and access to information that you do, so
answers are relevant and personalized. Start a conversation to prepare for your next meeting,
analyze a record, or find almost anything.

User Permissions Needed
To use Slackbot in Salesforce:
Slackbot UI permission
From Salesforce, click and ask Slackbot anything. Just like when you chat with Slackbot in Slack, Slackbot
in Salesforce can search, summarize, and take action across both systems. Slackbot pulls in
messages, files, and records to provide one connected view of your work. For example, if you
start a conversation from a Salesforce record, Slackbot combines the information on the record
with related Slack channel activity. So if you send Slackbot the prompt, "Summarize recent
Slack activity for this account and flag any blockers," Slackbot returns a holistic view of
that account, associated recent activity, and any issues.
If you switch from Salesforce to Slack, you can use the history feature to access Slackbot
conversations that you started in Salesforce.
Example
You're on an Opportunity record in Salesforce for a renewal that's stalled. Instead of
digging through related lists and Slack separately, you ask Slackbot, "What's the latest on
this deal? Are there any recent Slack conversations about it, and does the customer have any
open cases?"
Slackbot pulls in relevant Slack threads that mention the account, checks for open Cases
tied to the record, and gives you a quick digest—so you walk into your next call already
caught up, without ever leaving the record.
