Accrual and Payout Engine - Rule Processing
The Rule Processing DPE reads the Tier Stage records from Delta Calculation DPE and calculates the accrual value for each transaction against each applicable tier.

For Retroactive rebate types, the tier reached by the highest cumulative quantity determines the rate, which then applies to all units across every transaction in the period including units from earlier transactions that initially fell within a lower tier.
For Stepped rebate types, each tier's rate applies only to the units within that tier's boundary. A transaction that spans two tiers produces two separate accrual amounts.
AMER Program, April 2026
NovaTech's combined April quantity is 170 units — 70 Radius units on April 1 and 100 Spectra units on April 9 — which crosses into Tier 2.
For Volume-Based (Retroactive): NovaTech reaches Tier 2, so the $3 per unit rate applies retroactively to all 170 units.
- April 1 transaction (70 units × $3) = $210
- April 9 transaction (100 units × $3) = $300
- NovaTech Volume-Based total: $510
For Revenue-Based (Stepped): The April 1 transaction fills 70 of Tier 1's 100-unit capacity at 2%. The April 9 transaction fills Tier 1's remaining 30 units at 2%, then the next 69.99 units move into Tier 2 at 3%.
- April 1 in Tier 1 (70 units × 2%) = $1.40
- April 9 in Tier 1 (30 units × 2%) = $0.60
- April 9 in Tier 2 (69.99 units × 3%) = $2.10
- NovaTech Revenue-Based total: $4.10
GlobalMed has the same transaction quantities and dates as NovaTech, so the calculated amounts are identical.
APAC Program, April 2026 — Radius
Rayler's Radius quantity is 70 units (April 1 transaction only — Spectra is a separate calculation path). 70 units stays within Tier 1.
- For Volume-Based (Retroactive): 70 units × $2 = $140
- For Revenue-Based (Stepped): 70 units × 2% = $1.40
SunriseRetail has the same Radius quantity, so the calculated amounts are identical.
